Villiers Mar-vil Empty Villiers Mar-vil

Post by Abes Sun Mar 23 2014, 14:55

Bought this last year as a bag of bits had no idea if it was all there and with no manual to check it ended up sitting under the bench well after viewing some pics put on another forum it gave me an idea of what it was supposed to look like so with that in mind the cleaning and putting together started in earnest today still need to source some small bits and bobs ie studs and bolts and an exhaust (like hens teeth by all accounts) but other than that all is present and correct, a few pics below of progress so far

Looking for a bit of confirmation, putting the piston back into the mar-vil today and just need to confirm that the two holes on the conrod should be up and not down is this correct as I take it there for oiling purposes see pic

Got to be right Abes, though I have no experience of the Marvil personally but that is how I would refit it!
