That is really good, when I get round to restoring my chore boy this winter I'm going to build an original truck for it.

Getting back to your truck, how long did it take to make the wheels?

pete i knew bent hot but meant with propane torch ir gas axe ...

i need to sort out a method on bending metal as i have some 8mm flat that need to use to make some trolley handles for fairbanks and amanco . used mapp gas and works ok on 6mm but 8mm doesnt get red hot to twist like a candy twist .
i have been told a sivert brazing torch would do as has a low flame and a trigger for a high flame.

oxy acetalyne or proane too much just for ocasional use.

matt

Hi mate it took about a good day each to make the wheels longest job is turning out the hubs and boring them out as ive only got a small lathe be quicker on big lathe as you can hog out the middle quickly but im not in no hurry so i just do it in the evenings when i get time.

That's a good looking, well engineered, result - and a pleasure to follow the thread - its also a pleasure to read about these engineering jobs and with your pictures to see how you did them - all good for those of us learning the ropes.... which definitely includes me.....

Would be good to see on the rally field one day

Best
