new and old

I have a 5hp Briggs engine on a merry tiller titan and the carb is gone does anyone know if a carb from a new engine would fit or can you still buy the old style Briggs and Stratton carbs

theres plenty of the old 5hps B&S`s still knocking around ,and parts availablity is quite good for them from the dealers still
and have a dig around the ebay b&s carb and there will be one pop up sooner or later
