Has anyone got a picture of exactly where the oil dipper rings go on the end bearings of a Petter M ? When mine arrived they were in a box! Also in said box was two conical steel washers that I guess are part of this job as they are crank shaft size .
It may sound daft but as I've said before I've no experience on these engines.
Regards , Karl.
lol!

Er...Er....Er.......

Memory is a bit hazy to be honest but from what I do remember is if you take the end cover off the main bearing housing behind the flywheel (4 counter sunk screws) the oiler ring sits inside a cutout in the main bearing housing, once you have the cover off you will see what I mean, as for the conical washers, they fit outside the rings and should be a push fit on the crankshaft, these help keep the oil in the right place! No seal on the cover as you shouldn't need it.

If you go to IF you can get a manual from there, it should help explain things better.
