marc in Belgium had one of the gas wolseleys matt..

A very nice collection of Wolseley's you have there, and a rare gas engine, if there the correct engine numbers you've posted above the picture the first 2 are WD8's and the last one is a WD9. Dates are (I think these are correct) 1953, 1960 and 1971 with the last WD9's being built in 1972 with an engine number of 90258.

the style 1,2,3 and 4 used to have twin flywheels...
the Australian based cub also had twin fly wheels....
the WD took on an entirely new dimension when they brought out the standard 14 1/2inch flywheel and they were substituted for the smaller 12inch flywheels.the wd2 was a high speed 3hp at 1250rpm,they also made a batch of 30 petrol/paraffin in July 1948..
the lb series also had twin flywheels as well...
Luke coates (Jamie coates son) he used to have over 10 wolseleys back a time ago..
not sure if he still has that many now....
