HI PAUL....
thanks for all that info, theres a lot of it to read through, sounds like i mite have to have a go at ti myself..
so if you dont here from me for a while you know it went wrong...
i also noticed that they use soda crystals as well,as did the other item you posted
it would seem it has a lot more uses than we mite first have thought..
what else are you going to come up with that needs soda crystals as an ingredients..
you certainly do a lot of research on things for the forum..
and i think i can speak for all of us when i say we all appreciate it mate,so keep up the good work...
regards...mike...

Re: Rust Removal Using Electrolysis
I have used Soda Crystals and the process worked quite well, I derusted an old starting handle a couple of years ago and it cleared most of the rust. Make sure that you have the wires the right way round though or the piece will slowly errode away!

Electrolysis is the best way I found to clean fuel tanks inside and outside Borax or Soda Crystals work fine and cast iron wheels come out like new

I have used citric acid and electrolysis . Electrolysis is far better. Soda crystals in a plastic container with a 12 volt charger. A good wash and dry then a quick coat of primer.
