Bought this last week off ebay and it arrived today. It's a 1948 Dorman 2DSM. Had some trouble getting it from the lorry into the garage. Had to push it with a van and then roll it on scaffold poles..
I now need a boat to put it in..

Hi. It's in good mechanical condition, just needs tidying. It was owned by the Navy from new and when retired it went to Worcester and the sea scouts until recently. The long term plan is to build a narrowboat to put it in.

hi..

i would have thought the lorry driver would have put it in there for you with his palletiser..

thats how my witte arrived,it was delivered by EATON TRANSPORT POOLE in DORSET......cost me £60.00

the lorry had a tail lift and a palletizer..made it so easy it was unreal....

did you have to sort out the collection and delivery,or did the seller do it....

any idea how much it cost to deliver the pallet????

good luck with your new engine.....we must keep our eyes out for a boat for you...

regards......mike....

Cost me £62 to have it delivered 200 mile. We tried to get it up the drive on the pallet trolley but they have small wheels and it wouldn't budge. We pushed it with a van and rolled it into the garage on scaffold poles.
It really needs to go into a steel boat not a noddy plastic boat.

hi casp...
sometimes its cheaper to have it delivered rather than going to collect it....
what with the fuel prices, traffic etc....less hasell as well..sit back and wait for it to arrive...

as for boats, theres a lot out there to chose from....

good luck with your hunt for one.....

keep us posted.....
