Jaw crushers
I have been watching 2 or 3 Sturtevent toggle jaw crushers get sold on Ebay lately. One went for over £1,000.
I would like to have one to make chippings to repair our track. But you can buy about 160 tons of it from the qurray(ex delivery) for that. I am interested to know if anyone has any crushing experiences ? Chris.

Re: Jaw crushers
Wow, Yes that is a machine. A little more than I had in mind for the average back yard.

Re: Jaw crushers
I don't think it is that old and would take a very wild guess, not knowing much about them at about 1950s. do you know any more? By the way, I built a boat in my field at Pendeen that launched in 1984 when Geevor was going strong and I managed to buy worn out crusher toes from the mine as ballast. That was 4 1/2 tons of them as scrap. Each toe weighed 280lbs each. Also mill balls. Happy days. Chris.
