Hi Guys, thanks for letting me join this forum. I picked up a Fairbanks Morse z type 3 1/2hp yesterday which belonged to my father, it was recovered from the barn loft where we used to stay but left in 67. The engine was replaced by a Lister junior which I also have. The Fairbanks has probably not run for about 60 years and could even be near 70. She is well stuck but all there. Much soaking over the summer with paraffin, wd40 and diesel. Probably won’t do much more until winter. Cheers for now!Thumbs Up

Hello and welcome! welcome sign

Can I suggest you do a short piece on your engine for Stationary Engine magazine? A proper 'barn find' is always of interest.
