......I think it's a Petter PAZ 1 can someone confirm this as the brass plate is not one the engine as I believe some tin-work is missing from around the cylinder where the ID plate would have been.

It's a barn find and I think it has been in a concrete mixer as it is covered in cement powder.

Also is it a first or second series engine?

Thanks Stuart, it does look identical.

I was wrong in assuming that the one I found was missing some tin-work around the cylinder, yours does not have it in that area also.

That is a'second series' engine, I had an early one for a while  (pic enclosed) and the flywheel was enclosed and it had a different governor setup. It should have a tin shroud around the cylinder, obviously missing.

Just checked my pics and it did come with more tinwork, it just wasn't fitted.
