Hello, my Dad taught us to mend what we broke growing up, then my first car was an Austin Maxi followed by 4 Triumph Dolomites, so I became very familiar with my 1/2'' AF spanner! Engine wise, I started simple reviving a couple of Allen Sythes( Villiers 2strokes) and using them to mow a small paddock - very hard work & dangerous. Still with Villiers, I have a Teles -Smith chain saw, but my long term project is a Brit twin 10HP boat engine.

Hi Simon and a very warm welcome to the forum.
I got rid of my Allen scythe - far too dangerous.
Your mention of Dolomites had me smiling. I used to work in a lab and one of the shift testers, name of Arthur, was full of malapropisms.  He drove a Triumph Delmonte, had a son in the army stationed in nicosha and 'specifically' always came out as "pacifically".
Please keep us posted with your current project(s).
