Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
Joined the group as I've just started work on a Villiers Mk12 well I think it's a Mk12.
Over the years I've tinkered and repaired lots of stuff and while always been interested in engines, always got pulled in other directions.
My knowledge is limited in this area, so will try not to spam the forum with loads of questions!
I've added a picture, hopefully I've done it correctly, I'm not convinced so apologies in advance.
It comes on a base with a warsop water pump.
It's in a bad way loads of rust and Jammed up, but it was £20 and I couldn't let it be thrown away.
I'm a firm believer in keeping things going and not buying new plastic crap that last five minutes.
Aiming to share some stuff on the way and hopefully learn a lot.
Thanks
Matt

Re: Hi everyone,
Hello and welcome!
I wonder if that is a C12 engine, should be stamped on the instruction plate.
I had similar Warsop pump with a C12 on, but it had various issues and I broke it for spares and scrapped the pump part. I've still got the alloy base plate though.

Re: Hi everyone,
Hi and a warm welcome to the forum.
As Matt says engine plate should give model and serial number.
Nice easy engines to work on.
Good luck

Re: Hi everyone,
Evening,
Thank for the advice everyone, yes the oil filler/level plug is on the crankcase, so looks like a C although maybe a D?
Anyway it's in bits and in the middle of having the paint taken off it. So time to sort it out, just working out what bits are missing need replacing etc,
Thanks
