Hello from Surrey
I became interested in stationary engines in the late 1960`s and for several years showed an Amanco Hired Man at local shows. By the mid 70`s work and family life had caught up with me and i could only visit the odd show as a spectator.
About 10 years ago with retirement looming i bought an engine at a farm sale with the intention of exhibiting at shows again. I have now started on the restoration, several years later than i had intended!
The engine i bought was a Norman SC which i have found needs more work than i had thought but progress is being made.
I hope at some point to be able to make a worthwhile contribution to the forum.
