Hi,
I've always been interested in engines and used to ride all kinds of motorcycles in the 60's/ early 70's but other things including work and family have diverted my attention until quite recently. Therefore I've joined today hoping to get assistance in getting my recently acquired rusty Wolseley WD2 running again. There's no spark from the Mag so if anyone can suggest a repairer, I'd be grateful. The petrol pipe is missing and the tap seal has dried out and shrunk, so new tap and pipe needed. Oil is like treacle but now slowly draining. I've ordered a Mtce manual and when it arrives I'll start ordering parts hoping to get it going. So contacts and any advice would be welcome.
Regards

Hi John and a very warm welcome to the forum. Plenty of experienced and knowledgeable members here. I'm sure we, or rather they , will get you sorted.
Please post a few pics in New Projects when you are able. Good luck
Edit.
As for mag wait for testing / fettling advice before shelling out on repairs.

Hi John, welcome aboard.
I restored a WD2 last year, this might give you an idea of what's inside it https://ukengineforum.forumotion.com/t10214-wolseley-wd2-restoration

John,
Welcome ,this morning Ive just pulled a magneto off my Lister F with no spark, I removed the black cap, cleaned all connections, replaced the original condenser and its now back up and running, clean the points and make sure the magneto has a good connection between its body and the engine.

Sound advice from maryalice.
If you don't have a multimeter, a simple continuity test ( 12v battery, bulb and a couple of bits of wire) between HT terminal under the cap and the magneto body should show if windings are open circuit,
