Normally is a Solex, what exactly has broken? See them on Ebay now and then but many parts are interchangeable with a Petter version of the same carb, depending on what you need.

That's F****d it.
Keep an eye on ebay or someone on here might have another top. Looks a mess.
Bamfords EG/EV carbs are funny things on ebay, I've seen them make £90+ one week and struggle to make a tenner the next.

When you click 'Host an image' there is the option to re-size.Frenner2011 wrote:Tried to upload photos, but all my photos are too big, not sure how to make them smaller..

Update on the Bamford, still no luck with a replacement carb, started the strip down today, I love the way the engine splits!, things are looking pretty good, will try to get some information regarding the age, off with its head next!!!

It looks to have the same or similar part number on the fuel bowl, but you are correct there is some differences to what would possibly have been there from new, that plate on the top, the way the fuel pipe enters the top of the bowl is different to mine.

YAYYYYY...got a replacement carb for the Bamford!!!, going in Hospital for a new hip on Monday, so restoration of the Bamford won't start for a while yet, so just gathering some info...I've got the Magneto cleaned, lubed and points cleaned, very fat spark from that, the engine feels low on compression, so I will be removing the head, where the best place for new gaskets? Looking forward to working on this engine, might do a different paint job on it, I've seen a few black listers just lately, might go with that and bright brass/copper highlights, we shall see.
