New member in Sweden
Hi everyone!
I'm living off-grid in the (currently frozen) north of Sweden.
For most of the year our electricity comes from solar panels and a wind turbine, but during the darkest weeks of winter we need to top up the batteries by other means.
I'll (hopefully) soon be getting a Lister LR1, which I plan to hook up to an alternator to take over that task. Eventually I'd also like to make the change to veg oil in place of diesel, but one step at a time !
I'm not sure if the engine will be accompanied by a manual, so I'd like to start here by asking if anyone has a recommendation.

Internal Fire Museum of Power should get you a manual for a small donation. Look in 'ARCHIVE AREA'

Thanks a lot!
According to their page, the lr1 manual is 'not available for dowmload' ... does that change after I donate, or fo I need to keep searching?

Do you mean 'Lister LR1 Start-o-matic Manual'
Click on the manual link then in next dialogue Click 'I accept terms and conditions...'
It has been a while since I have downloaded so if I have it wrong no doubt others will correct me.
A donation is very worthwhile - there is lots of info here. Might be worth joining their forum as well. Many members here are also on IF.
