Well I've been lurking for a while and picked up some useful tips - thanks!
Thought it was time for an introduction
I'm retired, after working on boat engines and systems for years. Listers mostly, from the SRs to the Alpha series LPWs.
Engine-wise I've got:
1948 Lister D 28DH - with a TVO conversion. Bought as a non runner, stripped & rebuilt and made a trolley for it.
1951 Petter A1, one of 3 I picked up from a local farm. I got 2 of them running and used the other for parts. Recently sold one of them and will probably sell the other later this year.
Very recently acquired a Bamfords EG1 (date unknown). It's a restoration that someone's started but not completed. I have got it to start but it needs some further investigation as it will only run (just) on full choke. Also got to have the head off as the exhaust valve is leaking. It'll keep me happily tinkering for a while!
[EDIT] The EG1 is 1948, was sold in June, just a month after my Lister D!
