Good evening.

My name is Andrew I live in Warminster in Wiltshire and I am a retired Army Chaplain (now teaching part time) who has a life long interest in anything that runs, uses fuel, makes smoke or that gets me oily!

I have yet to get even close to finishing my OO gauge model railway. Nevertheless, yesterday, I acquired a Lister D for restoration.

Looking forward to my new project and learning a good deal from the more experienced people here.

Welcome aboard.  I can suggest this book if you haven't already bought it, which should provide some useful info for you:

My engine was supplied on the 20th December 1949 to Southern Counties Agriculture Trading Society. The back story is as interesting as the engine itself!

Welcome along from a crab, being ex-army you should be looking out for some military sets Wink I recently moved to Wiltshire (near Chippenham) and joined the Wessex engine club, seem a friendly bunch.

I think that S.C.A.T.S are possibly still trading, I used to deliver to some of their mills with my father many years ago.

Pete.

Foden I think you're absolutely right. I remember quite recently SCATS country/agricultural supplies being about but I think they have been taken over/rebranded as Mole Country Supplies now. There's also a Mole Valley Farmers establishment just ten minutes from where I live. Maybe the same group.

You will be very lucky if the current company(s) have any records/history of any of their products.
