Welcome to the forum. You shouldn't go too far wrong with a Lister D, there's a reasonably good supply of spare parts about and they're fairly simple to work on, as stationary engines go! However, contrary to popular belief, they're not all exactly the same and there are usually some subtle differences between surviving engines, so I'll look forward to seeing some photos of your engine.
