Waves from Wales
Hi everyone
Although I am not new to engines I am new to these lovely old engines that were built to last in an era when things were repaired not thrown away and when they did break down were easy to fix or at least keep going until the job was done.
I have one engine, a Lister D and have so many questions, spent ages looking at old posts on here which has answered some but if anyone can point me in the direction of a manual to keep me going until I find my feet sort of thing.
Thanks for having me & look forward to learning & sharing this fascinating hobby

DiaCap,
Welcome from Queensland, Down Under, I have two books, The Lister D Story by David Edgington, and Lister D-Type Restoration which contains a series of articles from The Stationary Magazine, written and researched by Gordon Wright. Both books should cover what you may want to know, try E-Bay for a price, also there are a number of Lister D Facebook groups that are very active, and based in the UK. I have a Lister 18DH built between February and April 1937, it's yet to be restored, but I have all the bits ready to proceed, but it may take a while as I also have a Lister LR1 and a BSA 120 Power Unit under restoration.
