BTH Magneto. Empty BTH Magneto.

Am I right in saying that the North pole of the Horseshoe Magnet should be put to the side of the Mag with the writing stamped on the Aluminium casting. When I received the Mag the Magnet had been removed. I can re- magnetise it easy enough. I could swear I read this some where but cant think where. This is for a BTH Mag for a Petter.

On one of my BTH M1 magnetos the N pole is on the same side of the magneto as the brass serial plate. On the other the magnet has no N marking at all, so I don't know with this one.
