ACE winch?
Just found a Villiers Mk25 powered ACE winch in an old shed, it looks to be complete except for the drive belt cover and the engine turns easily by hand with good compression...is there any paperwork like a manual or service sheets or even any background for one of these? any help appreciated....Jim

Re: ACE winch?
Hi Jim,
I'm an oil and gas man and have come across Ace Winches as a deck equipment specialist for offshore rigs - now why this may be inportant to you is they should/could be the same firm who built your unit....
based in Aberdeen - can be found here.. http://www.ace-winches.com
If luck is on your side they usually have someone who would help from the archives.... its all I have for you!
good luck
Best

Re: ACE winch?
Thanks for the reply but I don't think it's the same Company, ACE Winches were based in Brixton, London in the 40's I think this one is 1947, but I'll keep looking...... Jim
