Lister Junior
Hi All
I just need to find out how to tell if a lister junior is an A or B type engine.
I havent got the spec plate with me at this stage.
Liste is hipper cooled.

You should be able to tell by the hopper, a lister B has a curved lip on the hopper a lister A just has a flat top. Also the hoppers are slightly bigger on the B. You can tell 100% by the spec and number when you have them. Regards Dan

if your looks in the serial numbers are stamped onto the outer face of the flywheels also sumtimes into the ends of the crankshafts
well they were on my lister A and the same on a lister B of my mates
flywheel diameters and widths are also different unless you have a industrial A with the Bs flywheels fitted

You can usually tell by the hopper; the Lister B normally has a taller hopper (so it can hold more cooling water). If you post a photo of your engine on this thread I'm sure someone on here will soon be able to tell you whether it's an A or B.
