Sachs Stamo ST202 (1973)
Nice Sachs Stamo 202, purchased off EBAY in the last few weeks, it's a 199cc 2 stroke had it going for a few seconds a few days back, it came complete with a natty little trailer which is quite useful, only minor fault I can see so far is the engine kill button which at the moment comprises of just a loose wire to earth to cut engine.
The petrol tank was nice and clean and dry, have cleaned out float bowl on the Bing carburretor.
The switch holder for the engine kill button is still on the fan cowl housing but missing any parts.
Wonder if it originally had a built in rope pull mechanism?, it has bolt holes in the plate behind the present rope start pulley where it might have once been.
Can't see too many Sachs motors on forum, they made the Rotary Wankel engines too which found quite a few applications Motor Cycles (Hercules), Lawn Mower, Cars and a Stationary engine version back in the 1970s.
