Lister D crankshaft bearing oil feed Empty Lister D crankshaft bearing oil feed

Hi All,
Just a very general question, regarding lubrication to Lister D crankshaft main bearings.
Once engine is up n running, the oil splasher does splash oil around the bearing, and some in due course does reach into crankshaft housing, but how on earth does it lubricate the bearing at the flywheel end? As the drain hole will return any oil back into sump, missing out flywheel bearing
I suppose one could remove flywheel at certain times to gain access to bearing to re-grease ect
If anyone can put any light on this I would be most grateful
Cheers
Mark
