I got into this hobby when I was given a couple of Suffolk engines many years ago.  I now have 6 at least and a load of bits !  Then I purchased a  heavy Wisconsin engine out of a combine harvester. I got it working but as "management" would not let me have a fork lift and my back is a bit dodgy it had to go.  Next came an Allen Scythe with a Villiers 2 stroke engine.  It was reluctant some times to start but if you sneaked up on it it started first time.  It was actually used for grass cutting very successfully on our smallholding. Now I have a Stuart Turner P5 (missing some bits ) and another 2 partial ST P4's missing their cylinders and other smaller parts. I could build up one out of these bits but it would ruin a good crankshaft to do it.  I also have an Allam Minigen which I rebuilt to use as a back up to the mains supply as well as currently building out of a selection of parts a Honda GX160 / 2.2 KW generator which is going to be my main backup for this winter.  Oh, and did I not mention classic cars ? 1932 Morris Minor 2 seater and a 1936 Morris 8 saloon, Both I have owned since I was 18 and now I am 74 years old.
