Sanity check from NL
Hi all,
My name is Daniel, living in one of the more rural parts of the Netherlands.
I'm 35 and have been fascinated bij obsolete technology for many years
Since start of the corona outbreak my wife and I are mostly working from home. I'm not complaining, the lack of my former daily commuter ride is now converted in pure shed time.
In my shed are a couple of motorcycles (an ural 650 with sidecar, Jawa 638, Transalp 650, Transalp 700 en BMW K75) and my wifes' 1970 VW Beetle.
Two weeks ago I accidentally bought my first stationairy engine, a Norman T600. This little engine will be my project for the coming months of quarantine.
I'm an absolute beginner on this, and unfortunately not the brightest bulb in the box. Looking forward to learn a bit
Daniel

Welcome Daniel, you have come to totally the wrong place for a sanity check, but definately the right place for Norman engine info.

Hi Daniel, welcome aboard from another motorcyclist (Suzuki DL650) the Jawa 638 made me think they had made a large capacity bike I hadn't heard of until I looked it up to find it's a 350 variant
I like they way you "accidently" bought a stationary engine

Imagine that; a 600+ cc Jawa twostroke motorcycle
And i truelly became a Norman owner by sheer coincidence, honestly. I never thought my offer would be accepted
