Does anyone have any info on the multitude of Wico Series A magnetos?
I can can understand some variations e.g. direction of rotation, mounting type, drive coupling but fail to see a lot more.
Just wondering which parts would be interchangeable between types.

Wico Series A magneto types Empty Petter A2 Magneto

Hi Woodsman I seem to be having a similar problem as I have a Petter "A" reverse rev and at sometime someone changed the mag and damaged the mounting plate and when replacing it did not put the impulse stop in the right position and cant find any info to rectify it, surely WICO must have produced a build list for these mags stating what number relates to what application and interchangeability of parts, I am still searching for this info so if I am successful I will post it here.

Hi all I am also looking for information on Wico magnetos and unfortunately these two links don't work any more. I get the standard 404 message. Anybody got copies they downloaded please ?

Some of the pages from Fozzers Forum were saved on Way Back Machine, but unfortunately it's a bit patchy with a great many pages missing. There is some retrievable information though. You might like to have a look through this web address.

You may need to copy it into your browser.

Brilliant. Thanks very much for the link. I really miss the original fozzers forum. A real shock to lose both Peter Forbes and then the web host pulling the plug before we could download the data. That forum was a wealth of info. Once again Thanks.

philip,

That's odd to see Peters stuff particularly as two weeks ago I was told that all his stuff had ceased to exist.

Yes, but you just have to know where to find it. It's not all there, and quite frustrating that often the pages which I most used are often missing, but a good proportion is there, and might provide useful information to the seeker of knowledge. So whoever said it ceased to exist was mostly wrong.
