All I know at the moment is that it supposed to be a 1916 3hp open crank petrol/parrafin........manco?????

Hi Hamish...yup your are correct...amanco chore boy...in bits at the moment and primed awaiting painting but engine is complete except for a fuel tank which is in the process of being made...not a bad buy for £400.00....even got a good spark!

Hi, Looks like a 3Hp Amanco petrol/ paraffin that has been converted to a hign tension magneto and spark plug.

Thanks Dave...after a bit of a clean of the brass plate looks like you are right 3mules (for sister Sarah?) thanks for the links...it would appear that the spark plug/mag combo was to try and make starting easier in our slightly damper weather....all cleaned now and in bits ready for its coats of red...just waiting for better shed weather!
