From Mendip
I thought I better introduced myself, I live in the Mendips, Many moons ago I used to have a Lister D which i found in a farm yard scrapheap buried for est 30 years. Took it home and restored it over a few months, worked beautifully and than ran a Lister H2 pump with it which I also restored. A real proud achievement . I then sold it after a year as space was needed! Regret it ever since and I never forgotten not just the achievement but the happiness of restoring it. Now years later I have manage to get a Lister Junior B16 and got that running and the joy of listening to sound is great. I also got a Crossley which I am unsure what is the model. The Lister domestic water pump which I have is a real marvelous workhorse as to get water from the field to the house, it has to pump 200 yards up the field at a total height of 40 yds into a water tank and touch wood it haven't failed in 50 years or so.
I hope that's enough for now!!
