Hi

I have just aquired my first Lister D which I am currently restoring. Problem is finding the date of manufacture. The engine No 8044 (DH3 1.5hp 700rpm) seems to be short of one number when checking on internet lists. Number is genuine as it is also stamped on flywheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mid 1953 is a safeish date, 10705 was the last engine built in December of that year.
